Synopsis

This 1 day practical workshop will work theprinciples of postural management, how posture and pressure care are related,and how to complete a postural assessment.

There will be a mix of presentation andhands on practical activities. The workshop will concentrate on completingassessment and documenting the outcomes, followed by how to clinically justifyrecommendations for solution provision.

Synopsis

This interactive workshop combinespractical, hands-on activities with guided discussions to explore theprinciples of postural assessment and the application of postural careequipment for both sitting and lying. Participants will have the opportunity to: 

·     Review key considerations forpostural assessment and their clinical implications. 

·     Gain insights into seating andlying support systems, including their appropriate use. 

·     Engage in practical exercisesto apply equipment for case-based problem-solving scenarios. 

This session is designed to cater to alllevels of experience. For those new to postural care, it offers an introductoryoverview and practical exposure. For more experienced participants, it providesan opportunity to deepen clinical reasoning and refine problem-solvingstrategies through advanced case discussions.
