Clinical training and education

Monthly webinars

We run clinically-based webinars every month, which are free to join. The aim is to give healthcare professionals (HCPs) easy access to education, covering a range of topics. This includes how to get the best out of Accora products and areas such as pressure care and postural management, together with broader subjects like clinical reasoning, legalities of virtual assessment, and staff mental health and wellbeing. We use external presenters who are experts in their field, as well as our in-house clinical team.

Education programmes

Alongside these webinars we provide modular online courses, enabling more in-depth training on specific subjects including tissue viability and complex disability management.

Online clinical forum

Accora host a quarterly online clinical forum where HCPs can openly share experience and knowledge, as well as providing a space for professionals to gain support from their peers. There are two forums which include one for more experienced staff, managers and commissioners, and one for newly qualified staff. For further information, please email jenny.rolfe@accora.care

Product training and advice

Lunch and learn

Have lunch on Accora and learn more about how to get the best out of our products. These 30 – 45 minute live, web-based sessions are provided over lunch,  aiming to enable HCPs to engage in training in a time-effective way. The sessions are held regularly for generic audiences, but can also be arranged for specific departments.

Product knowledge and clinical application

Sessions can be held virtually and in person, providing detailed training on products and their clinical application. As we manufacture all products, we can cover every aspect of our range in detail and how it can be used to provide the best solution to meet clinical needs.

Clinical advice

Access expertise

We have two occupational therapists and a specialist tissue viability nurse as part of our in-house clinical team, who can provide generic or client-specific advice on the application of our products. We can support with clinical assessment, clinical reasoning and justification. Advice can be provided via phone, email or virtually.

Postural and complex disability assessment

We can offer a full postural assessment for service users specifically referred via local occupational therapists, conducted by our experienced in-house therapist for the most complex cases. Assessments can be completed jointly with local therapists and Accora’s product specialists, or commissioned separately as an independent assessment.
